Event: World Youth Day 2027

For: World Youth Day invites especially youth ages 16-35 to come. Although others are welcome.
Focus: A blend of spiritual pilgrimage, global Catholic fellowship, and Korean cultural immersion.
Experience a life-changing pilgrimage to Seoul, South Korea, for World Youth Day from August 1–10, 2027. Guided by the theme “Take courage! I have overcome the world” (Jn 16:33), we’ll join over 500,000 other youth from around the world for a week of vibrant K-culture, deep prayer, and fellowship with the Pope. Don’t miss this historic faith journey to the heart of Asia!

What’s Included in the Package
Logistics: Group flight from MSP and all ground transportation included.
Accommodations: Centrally-located lodging with shared rooms. Some nights will be in hotels and others will be in secure gyms, schools or churches. Individuals may choose to stay only in hotels for a reasonable additional cost. The night of the vigil, all pilgrims are invited to camp outside where the Pope will celebrate mass the next morning.
Meals: Daily breakfast and most dinners.
Support: A dedicated pilgrimage director and local Korean guides.
Faith Deep-Dives: Visits to the Seosomun Martyrs Shrine or the Mirinae Shrine (burial site of St. Andrew Kim Tae-gon).

Special visits during the trip:
-Seosomun Martyrs Shrine: The execution grounds where many Koreans were martyred.
-DMZ (Demilitarized Zone) to pray for peace and reunification.
-Namsan Tower & Bukchon Hanok Village: Iconic Seoul locations for cultural sightseeing.
Days 1–2: Departure from the U.S. and arrival in Seoul; welcome Mass and dinner.
Day 3: Opening Mass celebrated by the Archbishop of Seoul.
Days 4–6: Morning Catechesis with global bishops, Youth Festival events (concerts/talks), and Stations of the Cross with the Holy Father.
Day 7: 12–15 mile walking pilgrimage followed by an evening prayer vigil and sleeping “under the stars.”
Day 8: Final Closing Mass with Pope Leo.
Day 9: Free day for cultural exploration or visiting holy sites like Chon Jin Am (the birthplace of Korean Catholicism).
Day 10: Departure for home.
