Holy Family Catholic – Italy Tour – May 2025

Trip Details

  1. Apply for passport (and visas if you are not a US citizen).
  2. Know that Jacob Dueck is the owner of Squisito Tours LLC and this trip will be conducted through Squisito Tours. Mr. Dols has approved of using this company rather than EF Tours or another big educational travel company.
  3. Cost is estimated at $3900. Pay the $200 non-refundable deposit to reserve a spot. The remaining balance will be paid in installments. Payment in full is due by March 3 2025. Pay via Zelle or checks made to Squisito Tours LLC. See the payment schedule and payment code here.
  4. For students in 9-11th grades, there will be some academic components to this trip since it is during May Term. These activities will be graded and will count as the whole HF May Term requirement for the year. Some components of this will be:
    • pre-trip, in-classroom preparation,
    • do some research on sites before we see them,
    • post-trip reflection.
  5. There will be a parent meeting about one month before the trip. Feel free to email Mr. Dueck with any questions that come to mind before then.
  6. Medical and emergency travel insurance is included through Seven Corners. Additional coverage, including full cancellation, is available for purchase.
  7. You’ll need to fill out and submit the following to Mr. Dueck:
  8. Room assignments will be determined in the coming months but
    • beds will be in a dormitory-style room;
    • everyone will share a room with students of the same sex;
    • we’ll do our best to match everyone with those they want to room with;
    • anyone who wants special accommodations will have to pay for the difference.
  9. Kids, don’t drink alcohol, partake in reckless behavior, etc. on the trip.—We’ll send you home at your family’s expense! Then there will also be HF consequences.
